Worship

Building the Family of God!

All About Us!

We provide opportunities for worship that will help persons develop and strengthen their relationship with God. Weekly Sunday worship recordings are provided for home-bound members, and for those who wish to hear a service they missed. These are available in CD format, and are kept in archive for 3 months at a time. Contact the Groce Church office if you need a copy of a recent service, or if you know a home-bound member who would like to receive a recording of the service. We ensure that our congregation shares the good news of Jesus Christ with other people. This ministry will instill to the members of the congregation a desire to share our faith and will equip them with the skills for fulfilling the Great Commission. We are reminded that Jesus said, “you will be my witnesses” (Acts 1:8). We pray that God will increase our passion for seeing people come to Jesus Christ by inviting them to experience and share the family of God through the ministry of the church.

Some of the various ministries under Witness are:

  • Having greeters available on the front sidewalk to welcome (and help as needed) guests and our congregation to Sunday services

  • “Bread of Life” visitors who take information about the church to first-time worship guests

  • Spiritual formation

  • Prayer groups

Special worship services are held throughout the year, but especially on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, and Good Friday.

Persons are also invited to participate in worship as an acolyte, communion server, altar guild member, lector/reader, usher, host/greeter, and Children’s Church leader.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month at both worship services and on other special Sundays.

We offer children, teen, and adult Sunday School and Bible studies that meet not only on Sunday mornings, but during the week as well.
