Welcome Table

"They devoted themselves to the apostles – teaching and fellowship,to breaking of bread and prayers." – Acts 2:42

Groce UMC, along with 10 other churches, support the East Asheville Welcome Table. This is a free community meal held once a week on Thursdays at Groce UMC with serving times from 5-6:30 p.m. This meal provides a nutritious dinner to support the physical and spiritual needs of families and individuals, while also providing fellowship. For more information, call 298-7647. (In inclement weather, the Welcome Table will be closed if Buncombe County Schools are closed.) There are a number of ministries that you can get involved with and make the most of your spiritual growth.

The Welcome Table helps fulfill Groce UMC’s mission of building the family of God through praising God, bringing others to Christ, teaching the faith, strengthening the fellowship, and sending forth in service.

Groce UMC members held a dinner theater depicting what Christmas might have been like at the home of Charles Wesley, co-founder of Methodism. Proceeds from ticket sales were donated to the Welcome Table and the Beverly Hills Food Pantry.
