Groce UMC has seven ministries including: Nurture; Outreach; Worship; Music; Youth; Children's, and Safe Sanctuary. Each Ministry is important in its own right, helping to fulfill the church's mission as well as benefit church members and the people "beyond the walls" of the church. For example, the Outreach Ministry carries out projects that help feed the hungry, provide shelter to the homeless, and other services for those in need in the community. The Nurture and Worship ministries oversee activities primarily inside the church such as the worship services, Children's Church, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and much, much more. The Music Ministry provides our worship services with a blended style of music, including brass, classical, contemporary, ethnic, gospel and spirituals.
The Children's and Youth ministries offer various programs and projects for young church members to learn about the Bible, the love and mercy of God, and the good news that the Resurrection brings. These ministries help the young people of Groce UMC learn about the teachings of Christ and how they can be carried out in their lives and into the world. For example, the Youth Ministry hosts mission trips where church teens travel to areas to help people in need.
Finally, the Safe Sanctuary Ministry works to protect the church's children through a variety practices guided by a practical plan.
Groce UMC has a dynamic Music Ministry that delivers a wide variety of music styles and traditions. Music at the church enhances every worship service.
Part of the Outreach Ministry, the Fall Festival's pumpkin patch is a popular attraction for many local residents every autumn.
