* CALL TO WORSHIP

Pastor:            It is good to give thanks to the Lord,

People:          to sing praises in your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night,

Pastor:            to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre.

People:          For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy.

* HYMN OF PRAISE NO. 577       “God of Grace and God of Glory”

 OPENING PRAYER (In Unison)

O God, the Giver of life, we pray for the Church throughout the world.  Sanctify its life, renew its worship, empower its witness, restore its unity.  Remove from your people all pride and every prejudice that dulls their will for unity.  Strengthen the work of all those who strive to seek that common obedience that will bind us together.  Heal the divisions which separate your children from one another, that they may keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.  Amen.

* * * * * * * * *        Our service of worship has ended.  Now our worship through service begins.

It is the desire of the ministers to call on members who are in the hospital or ill at home.  Members and friends of Groce Church, knowing of such cases, are requested to call the church office (298-7647), or to notify one of the ministers (Gerald, 298-1259 or Uiyeon, 423-5108).

The flowers on the altar are dedicated to the glory of God and to all the United Methodist Women of Groce for their compassion and service to persons locally, statewide and globally.

The purpose of Groce United Methodist Church is to build the family of God

through praising God, bringing others to Christ, teaching the faith,

strengthening the fellowship, and sending forth in service.
