Uiyeon Kim is the Associate Pastor.  Uiyeon was born and raised in Seoul, Korea for 10 years before moving to Lubbock, TX, with his family in 1991.  Since his initial move to Texas, Uiyeon has lived in Iowa, North Carolina, and South Carolina.  Uiyeon possesses degrees from Grinnell College (Economics) and Duke Divinity School.  Groce UMC is Uiyeon’s first appointment since graduating from Duke Divinity School in 2006.  Uiyeon enjoys reading, sleeping, movies, and basketball while desiring to develop a greater appreciation for outdoor activities in Asheville.
